1. Service Description

PDFChecker provides technical PDF analysis tools, including PDF structure checks, configurable veraPDF PDF/A validation, and metadata inspection such as Producer, Creator, dates, signatures, and incremental updates.

Important: PDFChecker provides technical signals only. Results do not constitute legal advice, authentication, forensic analysis, or official certification. Do not use reports as sole evidence in legal, regulatory, or compliance proceedings without independent verification.

2. User Responsibilities

You must have the right to upload each PDF you submit.

You must not upload files containing illegal content, malware, viruses, or confidential data you are not authorized to process.

You must not abuse the service through scraping, automated overload, DDoS, or attempts to bypass limits.

You understand the analysis may produce false positives or false negatives and must be independently verified before legal, archival, or payment decisions.

3. Acceptable Use

You may not use PDFChecker to analyze PDFs you do not have permission to access, circumvent security measures, upload unlawful content, or resell reports without authorization.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

PDFChecker is provided as is without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee perfect accuracy, official PDF/A conformance, uninterrupted service, or suitability for legal or archival decisions without independent verification.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFChecker and its operators are not liable for damages arising from use of the service, decisions made based on results, or data loss. Keep backups of original files.

6. Refund Policy for Paid Features

Paid features are not currently available. If paid features are enabled later, refund terms will be published before any purchase is accepted.

7. Intellectual Property

PDFChecker code, design, documentation, and brand assets are our property. You retain ownership of PDFs you upload, and we do not claim rights over uploaded content.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms, abuse the service, create security risk, or use the service unlawfully.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Delaware, unless applicable consumer law requires another forum.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
